A lovely, antique pine kitchen dresser. This late 19th or early 20th century, pine dresser has loads of period and rustic charm. The dresser has a useful plate rack held within curved uprights, two deep drawers and a large cupboard area with a shelf. It is made from old and heavy solid pine, with a plank back to the base. The locks and decorative brass drop cupboard handles and circular brass pull drawer handles, all appear to be original to the piece.

This is a period piece and really quite rustic and should be appreciated for its simple charm. There are splits to the drawer bases and the cupboard doors, which do not hinder their use. The colour is uneven and would appear to has faded from sunlight, this is particularly obvious on the outer uprights of the top section. There are lots of marks, scratches and small dents acquired over its long life. Some of the joints have wear or shrinkage, but the dresser is sound. It has been cleaned and newly rewaxed with clear bees' wax.

The top section separates from the base for ease of transportation.

Total height when top is in position: 214cm. Base: 92cm high, 112cm wide, 51cm deep. Top section: 126cm high, 117cm wide, 23cm deep.

Collection in person.
