This is an antique solid pine dresser base, probably from around 1900. It is an extremely rustic item and will need some restoration, but has the potential to be a really characterful piece of furniture in the right setting. The wood is heavy, as is often found in old pine, and has loads of character, It has a lovely three plank work top and the back has the traditional vertical planks. Sadly, the top rack has been separated from the base and isn't available.

The drawer and cupboard handles have been crudely carved by hand. At some time in the past it has been painted a pale cream colour, and the handles have been painted grey. The paintwork is cracked in places. The dresser has plenty of cracks, marks and woodworm damage. The woodworm damage appears to be old and repairs to it have been made to it in the past. It would be wise to treat the dresser for this problem.

126.5cm wide, 94cm high, 49.5cm deep.

Collection in person.
